The New Orleans Saints announced Mary Ambrose as their 2025 Inspire Change Changemaker – an annual recognition celebrating leaders who are driving significant, measurable change in their communities across the NFL's Inspire Change initiative's four pillars: education, economic advancement, police-community relations, and criminal justice reform.

Mary serves as the Chief Equity and Impact Officer at United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA). With over 25 years of experience, Ambrose leads the organization's community impact efforts alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and expert staff. Her responsibilities include guiding volunteer leadership recruitment and development, conducting research, fostering community engagement and partnerships, identifying community challenges and solutions, and overseeing the distribution of funds raised through the annual workplace campaign. Ambrose has also played a pivotal role in the Super Bowl LIX Impact 59 grant program, which delivered more than $3.6 million in funding to nonprofits throughout the Greater New Orleans region.

"Mary truly reflects the heart of Inspire Change through her unwavering dedication to uplifting and empowering those in our community," said Gayle Benson, Owner of the New Orleans Saints. "Her compassion and leadership have touched countless lives, and we are proud to honor her as this year's Changemaker."

Ambrose was formally recognized at the New Orleans Saints Inspire Change game on December 14 for her outstanding leadership and commitment to social justice. As part of this honor, she will receive a $10,000 donation from the NFL Foundation, directed to the nonprofit of her choice – United Way of Southeast Louisiana.

Anna Isaacson, NFL Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility, added: "The Changemakers selected this year have demonstrated what's possible when leaders commit to creating real change in their communities. Their work is a powerful example for others and proof that sustained dedication can drive meaningful progress. The NFL family is proud to recognize their impact."
