Son of former Saints player selected in first round of MLB draft

Jordon Adell is the son of former Saints lineman Scott Adell

Outfielder Jordon Adell of Ballard High School, the son of former New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Scott Adell, was selected 10th in the Major League Baseball draft by the Los Angeles Angeles on Monday, June 12.

Jordon, from Louisville, Ky., is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound outfielder who bats and throws right-handed. You can watch a highlight video here.

Scott Adell was a 12th-round selection (330th overall) by the Saints in the 1992 draft out of North Carolina State. A back injury ended his career before he played a game for the Saints.
