New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has traded wide receiver/return specialist Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a fourth round pick and a fifth round pick in 2026.

Shaheed, 6-0, 180, was originally signed by New Orleans as an undrafted rookie out of Weber State in 2022. He has appeared in 42 career games with 28 starts and on offense has recorded 138 receptions for 2,055 yards (14.9 avg.) with 12 touchdowns and carried 19 times for 128 yards, with a 44-yard touchdown. In the return game, the 2023 AP first-team All-Pro punt returner and Pro Bowl starter at return specialist returned 64 punts for 804 yards (12.6 avg.) with two touchdowns and brought back 39 kickoffs for 904 yards. In 2025, he opened all nine contests for the Black and Gold and caught 44 passes for 499 yards with two touchdowns, had five yards rushing, returned ten punts for 129 yards (12.9 avg.) and returned one kickoff for 29 yards.
