New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday that the club has signed defensive tackle Kendal Vickers. Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:

  1. Vickers has appeared in 26 games (two starts) over four seasons in the NFL, most recently appearing in two games with the Buffalo Bills during the 2023 season. Vickers has registered 22 tackles (10 solo), 2.0 sacks and three quarterback hits.
  2. Vickers suited up for three years with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2020-2022 where he was teammates with Saints quarterback Derek Carr and tight end Foster Moreau.
  3. Vickers has also spent time on the practice squads of the Arizona Cardinals (2023) and Tennessee Titans (2018).
  4. The 6-foot-3, 295-poiund defensive tackle attended Tennessee where he played in 43 games during four seasons with the Volunteers. He registered 108 tackles (43 solo), 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. Two of those fumbles came in the same game when the Vols took on University of Kentucky on Oct. 28, 2017 where Vickers also tallied five tackles (four solo).
  5. He attended Havelock High School in his hometown of Havelock, N.C., where he was named All-State in his senior season, all-conference in his junior and senior seasons and all-area in each of his varsity seasons for the Rams.
