New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent guard David Edwards on a multi-year contract.

Edwards, 6 feet 6, 308 pounds, is a veteran offensive lineman who was originally selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round (169th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin. In seven seasons with the Rams (2019-22) and the Buffalo Bills (2023-25), Edwards has played in 103 regular season games with 76 starts at both guard positions and one at left tackle.

In 12 postseason games, Edwards has made ten starts at left guard, including helping the Rams capture a victory in Super Bowl LVI. During the Rams' 2021 championship season, Edwards started all 17 regular season games and all four postseason contests at left guard.

In 2025, the Downers Grove, Ill., native played in 17 games with 16 starts and started both playoff contests for the Bills at left guard. Edwards blocked for a Buffalo rushing attack that ranked first in the AFC (159.6 ypg.), led by All-Pro running back James Cook III, who led the league in rushing yards (1,621). After first arriving in Buffalo in 2023 as an unrestricted free agent, Edwards took over as the Bills' starting left guard in 2024 and started all 16 regular season games he appeared in, in addition to starting all three of Buffalo's postseason contests. That season, the Bills offensive line allowed a league-low 14 sacks and helped pave the way for Josh Allen's MVP season.

In four seasons with the Badgers, Edwards played in 37 career games with 31 starts at right tackle. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the media following his senior season in 2018 and was named a first-team All-American in 2017 by Athlon Sports
