NFL CAREER –Originally selected by the Patriots in the first round (32nd overall) in the 2015 NFL draft, Brown joined the Saints in free agency after four productive seasons in New England in 2019. He made an immediate impact on the New Orleans defense, which finished fourth in the NFL in run defense, posting 34 tackles (18 solo), two sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble, adding two stops and a split sack in the NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Minnesota. For his career, the former Texas standout has appeared in 76 games with 67 starts tallying 220 tackles (121 solo), 10.5 sacks, one pass defensed one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries.

PERSONAL – Was an All-American at Brenham (Texas) HS and was rated as the second-best DT in the nation by ESPNU…Was a prep All-American, all-state and three-time alldistrict performer on the defensive line and played in the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game. Also selected to play in the 2012 International Bowl…Was a three-year starter who tallied 125 tackles, 66 tackles for loss, 91 quarterback hits, 24 sacks, nine forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries, helping Brenham post a 34-5 record over his final three seasons…Also lettered in basketball and track and field…Malcom D'Shawn Brown was born February 2, 1994 in Brenham, Texas.
