NFL CAREER – After parts of five seasons with Kansas City, Edwards-Helaire returned to his home state and was signed onto the Saints practice squad in Week 15. The Baton Rouge native has played in 50 regular season games with 32 starts for the Chiefs (2020-23), and Saints (2024), carrying 454 times for 1,891 yards (4.2 avg.) with 12 touchdowns, while catching 92 passes for 789 yards (8.6 avg.) and seven touchdowns. In 2024, the former Catholic High School standout played in the final two games for the Saints after joining the practice squad in Week 16, rushing for 46 yards on 13 carries and caught three passes for 24 yards. The former first-round pick will compete for snaps in the running back room under first-year Head Coach Kellen Moore.

COLLEGE – Appeared in 41 games at LSU, rushing for 2,158 yards on 370 carries (5.8 avg.) with 23 rushing touchdowns, while adding 69 receptions for 595 yards and one TD. He put together one of the best seasons for a running back in school history in 2019 for the national champion Tigers with 1,414 rushing yards, the third-highest single season total in school history, and had 453 receiving yards on 55 receptions, the most catches in Tiger record books for a running back en route to unanimous first-team All-SEC honors, was a Paul Hornung Award Finalist and SEC Offensive Player of the Week (at Alabama). After final season (2019), left LSU ranked No. 15 in school history in career rushing yards. 1,414 rushing yards that year ranked as third-highest single-season total in LSU history, was named LSU's MVP and permanent team captain for the Tigers in 2019…Majored in sports administration and is currently pursuing a nursing degree.
