Biography

NFL CAREER – Entering his sixth NFL season, Cam Akers has a unique skillset that has allowed him to be a versatile runner and receiver during his NFL career. He has appeared in 53 career contests with 17 starts for the Los Angeles Rams (2020-23), Houston Texans (2024) and Minnesota Vikings (2023 and 2024), carrying 502 times for 2,025 yards (4.0 avg.) with 13 touchdowns, caught 52 passes for 388 yards with four touchdowns and returned three kickoffs for 76 yards. In seven postseason contests with six starts for the Rams (2020-21) and Vikings (2024), the Clinton, Miss. native carried 118 times for 432 yards with two touchdowns and caught 11 passes for 127 yards. He finished the 2024 season split between the Texans and Vikings, playing in all 17 regular season games with two starts. He finished with 104 carries for 444 yards (4.3 avg.) with two touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 68 yards with a career-high three touchdown grabs.
