Saints awarded Zaire Mitchell-Paden off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens

The New Orleans Saints announced that they were awarded tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:

  1. Mitchell-Paden joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent and earned a spot on the practice squad with the Cleveland Browns from 2022-2024 and the Baltimore Ravens from 2024 to 2025. Mitchell-Paden saw his first game action with the Ravens this season, appearing in six games with one start where he caught one pass for three yards.
  2. In 2024, Michell-Paden was one of 39 Ravens players to participate in the annual Holiday Helpers event at Target to shop for gifts with Baltimore youth in need. Mitchell-Paden was assigned a student and helped them shop around the store.
  3. The 6-5, 257 lbs. tight end completed his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic University. He played in 12 games and tallied 90 yards and one touchdown on nine catches. He also added one rushing attempt for a one-yard touchdown.
  4. Prior to FAU, Mitchell-Paden attended Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. He played four seasons with the Falcons, appearing in 42 games and hauling in 90 receptions for 1,206 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned First-Team All-Mountain East Conference in 2019 and Second-Team All-Mountain East Conference in 2018.
  5. Mitchell-Paden attended at Richard Montgomery High School in his hometown of Rockville, Maryland. He recorded seven touchdowns and 431 yards on 24 catches as a senior to helped the Rockets to a 10-2 finish earning him first-team All-County 4A honors at tight end. He also participated in basketball and track and field.
