*The Saints lost their second consecutive contest and fell to 5-7 on the season. The team will travel to New York next weekend to face the Giants on Sunday.
*The New Orleans defense got the Falcons offense off the field consistently as the Falcons converted 1-of-11 third downs, not successfully converting one until the fourth quarter. At one point during the second and third quarters, New Orleans forced five consecutive three-and-outs.
*QB Drew Breescompleted 28 of 50 passes for 341 yards and five interceptions, the most in a single game in his career. Brees moved into a tie for second place all-time with Dan Marino with 63 games with over 300 yards passing.
*Brees' extended his NFL-record streak of games with 20 or more completions to 48.
*Brees had his NFL-record 54-game streak of consecutive games with a touchdown pass come to end.
*RB Mark Ingramcarried six times for 13 yards and had a second quarter one-yard touchdown, his third of the season, to take the team lead for rushing touchdowns.
*RB Pierre Thomascarried 14 times for 84 yards to lead New Orleans in rushing. Thomas now has 2,926 career rushing yards, surpassing FB Tony Galbreathto move into seventh place on the club's all-time rushing list.
*RB Darren Sproleshad five receptions for 47 yards and had a season-long 21-yard punt return as part of four punt returns for 62 yards.
*WR Marques Colstonfinished with six receptions for 71 yards.
*WR Lance Moore had seven receptions for 123 yards, including grabs of 32 and 29 yards.
*WR Joseph Morganhad a first quarter 38-yard reception. Of his five receptions in 2012, four have gone for distances of 80 yards, 48 yards, 38 yards and 33 yards.
*TE Jimmy Grahamposted four receptions for 59 yards, including a fourth quarter 25-yard grab.
*In his first return to the Georgia Dome since signing with New Orleans, LB Curtis Lofton led the defense with eight tackles including four solo stops.
*DE Cameron Jordanhad his team-leading seventh sack of the season when he dropped Atlanta QB Matt Ryanfor a six-yard loss in the second quarter.
*K Garrett Hartleymade two-of-two field goals, including a third quarter 52-yard kick that was tied for the second-longest of his career. Overall, Hartley had seven points in the contest. Hartley now has 53 career field goals, as he moved past Charlie Durkeeinto fourth place on the club's all-time list.
