Teams play Friday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome

With the loss, New Orleans drops to 0-3 on the preseason. The Saints return to action on Thursday, Sept. 1 when they host the fourth and final game of the 2016 preseason at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome against the visiting Baltimore Ravens. Kickoff is 7:00 p.m.

  • QB Drew Brees played the first four series, converting on nine-of-12 passes for 78 yards with one touchdown and a 119.4 QB rating. In the second quarter, he engineered a 12-play, 78-yard scoring drive that ended with a 17-yard touchdown pass to WR Willie Snead IV.
  • Entering in the second quarter in relief of Brees and playing the remainder of the first half, QB Luke McCown threw for 51 yards on four-of-eight passing.
  • QB Garrett Grayson played the entire second half, finishing with 128 yards on 14-of-23 passing with one touchdown and two interceptions. In the third quarter, he connected with WR Tommylee Lewis on a 31-yard score.
  • Snead IVcaught a team-high four passes for a team-leading 58 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter.
  • Lewis posted two receptions for 41 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
  • RB Travaris Cadetcarried the ball four times for 26 yards, and posted four receptions for 42 yards, with a long-reception of 17 yards.
  • RB C.J. Spiller rushed the ball four times for 20 yards, and added 39 yards on two kickoff returns.
  • RB Tim Hightower accumulated 27 yards on eight rush attempts, and added eight yards on one catch.
  • CB Delvin Breaux had a second-quarter forced fumble that was recovered by LB Dannell Ellerbe to put the Saints in position for their first touchdown. Breaux finished with three tackles (two solo) while Ellerbe had four tackles (three solo).
  • S Vonn Belltied for the team lead with five tackles, including a team-best four solo tackles.
  • CB Cortland Finnegan collected a sack of QB Bryn Renner in the fourth quarter for a loss of 12 yards, finishing with three solo tackles.
  • Seeing time at nickel corner, CB De'Vante Harris tied for the team lead with five tackles, three of which were solo stops.
  • DL David Onyemata,**the team's fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, made one tackle and added a batted ball on a QB Landry Jones pass attempt in the second quarter.
  • PThomas Morstead punted five times for 245 total yards (49.0 avg.) with a long of 61 yards and a net average of 44.2.
