Morten Andersen, Michael Lewis to appear at Saints Hall of Fame Museum next Sunday

Two significant players in the history of the New Orleans Saints will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday, Dec. 17.

Morten Andersen and Michael Lewis will each make appearances at the Saints Hall of Fame museum prior to the New Orleans Saints home game with the New York Jets at noon.

Andersen will appear from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. while Lewis will appear from 10:30 a.m.-11:15 a.m. 

A native of Copenhagen, Andersen was drafted by the Saints in 1982 (fourth round) and enjoyed a stellar 13-year stint in New Orleans. Andersen was named to six Pro Bowls and earned first-team All-Pro honors five times (1985-1988 ,1992) as a member of the Saints. He went on a 25-year career in the NFL and retired as and remains the leading scorer in NFL history. Andersen was named to the NFL All-Decade Team for both the 1980's and 1990's. 

Andersen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 He was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2009 and earned induction into the Saints Ring of Honor in 2015. He was also inducted into the Danish American Football Hall of Fame (2006), the Allstate Sugar Bowl Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame (2013) and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (2011). 

A native of New Orleans who played at Bonnabel High School and graduated from Grace King, Lewis played six seasons for the Saints from 2001-06, returning one punt and three kickoffs for touchdowns while catching 28 passes for 553 yards and a score. He was named first team All-Pro in 2002. Lewis was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2015. 

The Saints Hall of Fame Museum is located at Gate B on the Plaza level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. 

The museum is open on game days two hours prior to game time until just before kickoff and for 45 minutes following each home game. Admission is free on game day with a ticket to the game.
