Key takeaways from Sean Payton's Aug. 3 media availability

Payton met with the media following Thursday's practice

The team announced that practice on Sunday, Aug. 6 has been moved to Yulman Stadium on Tulane University's campus from 7-9 p.m. Payton spoke on the switch, "I like the changeup for a night practice. I think it changes the routine up during the day - they're off their feet."

Weather pushed practice indoors and Payton was pleased with the energy from the players.

Payton praised the competitiveness of the teams' practices.

Payton felt that "location consistency" needs to be better with the snapping from the long snapper and center. He stated that the shotgun snaps have become "an epidemic."

Payton praised new wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.  Jr. "He's running well... We're excited to have him."

Payton said he is proud of all that owner Tom Benson has done for the Saints organization, the league and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
