Key takeaways from Drew Brees' July 30 Media Availability

Star quarterback met with media following practice

On wide receiver Brandon Coleman, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Sunday said: "There's really not a guy I have more trust in. ... I feel like he's a guy who can play every position."

Brees on receiver Corey Fuller, "He's got some knowledge and has some savvy to him from having played the game and some eperience under his belt. I think he fits our system well."

Brees said that receiver Mike Thomas jumped to the next level "midseason" in 2016. Brees noted how the then-rookie became more incorporated into the offense as the season went on.

On rookie lineman Ryan Ramczyk, Brees said, "I like his presence. I think he';s got some versatility as well."

Brees praised rookie running back Alvin Kamara.""His ability to decipher through (protections and play concepts) has been impressive so far."

Brees knows the value of the team's starting center Max Unger. "Max is so consistent. His ability and his production goes way beyond what he does snapping the ball."
