Halftime update: Philadelphia Eagles 14, New Orleans Saints 10

Fake punt starts comeback for Saints

After falling behind 14-0 the New Orleans Saints used a successful fake punt by Taysom Hill to fight their way back into their divisional playoff game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles, and trail 14-10 at halftime Sunday, Jan. 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Hill's 4-yard run was the first of two successful fourth-down conversions on the drive as the Saints scored on a fourth-and-goal pass from the 2-yard line to Keith Kirkwood for their touchdown. The entire drive was set up by a Marshon Lattimore interception of a Nick Foles pass. The Saints put a nice drive together to end the half that ended with a 45-yard field goal by Wil Lutz with six seconds remaining.

It was a rough start for the Saints, the top seed in the NFC playoffs, as Brees threw an interception on the first play and the Eagles quickly scored two touchdowns. The first was a 37-yard pass from Foles to Jordan Matthews and the second was a 1-yard dive over the top by Foles.

New Orleans also lost star defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins to a left leg injury in the first quarter. The Eagles lost Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks to injury.

Key Saints stat leaders

Drew Brees, 13 of 19 for 171 yards with one TD and one interception

Mark Ingram, five carries for 26 yards

Alvin Kamara, four carries for 20 yards

Michael Thomas, six catches for 87 yards.
