Saints quarterback Drew Brees was intercepted by Leonard Williams after getting hit while throwing the ball. The Jets took over at the 11-yard line with 1:14 to play in the half but the New Orleans defense forced them to settle for a 29-yard Chandler Catanzaro field goal with nine seconds left.

The Saints (9-4) scored on a 23-yard Wil Lutz field goal, a 1-yard run by Mark Ingram II and a 10-yard pass from Drew Brees to rookie Alvin Kamara.

The Jets (5-8) scored earlier on a 2-yard run by Bilal Powell.
