Five Things to Know about Saints wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones

Veteran Wide Receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones joins Saints after Rookie Minicamp tryout

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday that the club has agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones on a one-year contract.

  1. In his five NFL seasons between the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions, Peoples-Jones accumulated 122 catches, 1,895 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
  2. Peoples-Jones also contributed as a return specialist, logging 858 career return yards and one punt return touchdown.
  3. The Detroit native was traded from the Browns to the Lions in 2024 in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick.
  4. Drafted by the Browns out of Michigan in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft, Peoples-Jones played three seasons for the Wolverines and appeared in 37 games. He tallied 103 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns, along with two punt return scores. He earned All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2018 and 2019.
  5. The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Peoples-Jones was a five-star recruit out of Detroit's Cass Tech and was Michigan's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2016.
