Biography

NFL CAREER – Signed by the Saints on Oct. 4 after spending his first four seasons in Green Bay, Goodson saw action in six games as a rookie in 2014. He registered six special teams tackles, No. 2 on the team among rookies behind only LB Jayrone Elliott. Goodson played in 14 games and both postseason contests in his second season in 2015, seeing time on defense and special teams. He recorded nine special teams tackles during the regular season, tied for No. 4 on the team, and was tied for the team lead with three tackles on special teams in the playoffs.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Signed to the New Orleans active roster, 10/4/18; Waived by Green Bay, 9/1/18; Placed on injured reserve by Green Bay, 12/22/17; Activated from physically unable to perform list by Green Bay, 12/6/17; Placed on physically unable to perform list by Green Bay, 7/27/17; Placed on injured reserve, 12/3/16; Signed by Green Bay, 5/16/14.

2017 – Activated from reserve/physically unable to perform (knee) on Dec. 6, but was placed on injured reserve (hamstring) on Dec. 22...Was on reserve/ PUP for the first 12 games of the season. 2016 – Played in six games with three starts and recorded 14 tackles (11 solo) and two passes defensed...Was placed on injured reserve (knee) on Dec. 3...Was on reserve/suspended for the first four games of the season and was inactive in Week 12 (knee)…Vs. Dallas (Oct. 16): Saw significant action in his season debut because of injuries to CBs Sam Shields, Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins, appearing on 36 plays. COLLEGE – Began collegiate career by playing basketball for three seasons at Gonzaga (2008-11) before transferring to Baylor in 2011 for football…Played in 19 games with 13 starts during three seasons at Baylor, registering 43 tackles (38 solo), including two tackles for a loss, four interceptions and 19 passes defensed…Earned his degree in general studies with a journalism minor at Baylor.
