Colston's career background

Over 10 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Colston established himself as one of the NFL's most difficult-to-defend targets. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound red zone target recorded 711 catches for 9,759 yards (13.7 avg.) and 72 receiving touchdowns, which at the time ranked fifth in the NFL since 2006, to put him among the club's all-time leaders in every receiving category. The former Hofstra standout is currently ranked first in franchise record books in receptions, receiving yardage, receiving touchdowns, total touchdowns and is tied for first in 100-yard receiving performances (28) with Joe Horn (2000-06). After being drafted in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft, Colston led the Saints in receiving yardage five times and holds the franchise record with six 1,000-yard seasons. In 2015, Colston had 45 grabs for 520 yards and four touchdowns, while missing three games due to injury.

Four-year standout at Hofstra, appearing in 40 games with 37 starts and posting 182 catches for 2,834 yards with 22 touchdowns…All-Atlantic 10 as a redshirt senior in 2005 after hauling in career-high 70 receptions for 975 yards and nine touchdowns…Sidelined in 2004 while recovering from a shoulder injury…As a junior in 2003, led the team with 51 receptions for 910 yards (17.8 avg.) and seven touchdowns…As a sophomore in 2002, recorded 47 grabs for 614 yards and three touchdowns…Posted 14 catches for 335 yards (23.9 avg.) and three touchdowns as a freshman in 2001…Graduated with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies.
