Marques Colston's Career Background
Over 10 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, wide receiver Marques Colston established himself as one of the NFL's most difficult-to-defend targets. The 6-4, 225-pound red zone target recorded 711 catches for 9,759 yards (13.7 avg.) and 72 receiving touchdowns over his career, which at the time ranked fifth in the NFL since 2006, to put him among the club's all-time leaders in every receiving category. The former Hofstra standout is currently ranked first in franchise record books in receptions, receiving yardage, receiving touchdowns, total touchdowns and is tied for first in 100-yard receiving performances (28) with Joe Horn (2000-06). After being drafted in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft, Colston led the Saints in receiving yardage five times and holds the franchise record with six 1,000-yard seasons. In 2015, Colston had 45 grabs for 520 yards and four touchdowns, while missing three games due to injury.
