The Pro Football Writers of America announced today that New Orleans Saints tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. and quarterback Tyler Shough have been selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team. This is the first time multiple Saints have been named to the All-Rookie team since the 2019 season, when three players were selected and the first time two offensive Saints were selected since 2017.

Banks, 6 feet 5, 315 pounds, was selected by New Orleans in the first round (ninth overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft out of the University of Texas, where he was a consensus first-team All-American and the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award winner in 2025. The Humble, Texas native was the only Saints offensive lineman to open every contest, starting every game at left tackle for the Black and Gold, and led the offensive unit in snaps played (1,066 of 1,124 snaps).

Shough, 6-5, 219, was the team's second round selection (40th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Louisville. In 11 games with nine starts, he completed 221-of-327 passes (67.6 pct.) for 2,384 yards with 10 touchdowns, only six interceptions and a 91.3 passer rating, with his 103.3 third down passer rating leading the NFL. Shough's 67.6 completion percentage was the third-highest among qualifying rookies all-time.
