Strief a headliner of Italian-American Parade

Tackle to serve as Grand Marshal of March 18-19 events

New Orleans Saints T Zach Strief will serve as one of the grand marshals for the Italian American Marching Club's 41st Annual Italian American Marching Club St. Joseph's Day parade on March 19.

The marching club will kickoff of the festivities in style with the traditional pre-parade pasta party with with the World's largest pasta dish, eight feet in diameter. The party will take place on the 2nd floor of the New Orleans Riverside Hilton on Friday, March 18.

It will be kicked-off with 20 waiters pouring pasta-wine-and music by Bobby Lonero for the marching club's St. Joseph's Day parade on March 19. The 18 float parade will have 11 marching bands plus hundreds of kissing Italians (one kiss for a rose) that will march through the streets of the French Quarter. "It is one of the few parades that goes down Bourbon Street" said Judge Anthony J. Russo. Over one million Fava "lucky" beans will be thrown during the popular parade" added Judge Russo.

This year's National and Local Grand Marshals in addition to Strief: actor and movie personality Michael Baddalucco, New Orleans District Attorney Leon A. Cannizzaro Jr., this year's Caesar New Orleans Police Officer Armando Asaro and the lovely Queen Lindsay Russo.
