Saints-NFL High School Coach of the Week

<span>Ken Sears from St. Paul's High School in Covington, LA was selected as the NFL Coach of the Week for week one.

This is Coach Sears' tenth year as head coach at St. Paul's. Coach Sears' Wolves beat the St. Thomas More Cougars 13-10 on Friday, September 5th. St. Paul's was originally scheduled to play John Ehret High School, but the game was canceled due to Hurricane Gustav.

Coach Sears has 29 seniors returning this season and because of the leadership given by these seniors, the team is off to a 3-0 start. This week the Wolves will play Mandeville at home, opening up divisional play in District 6-5A. Coach Sears not only strives for excellence on the field, he also demands his student athletes succeed in the classroom.

As a token of appreciation for all his hard work, the NFL is donating $1,000 toward the St. Paul's football program. The National Football League and the New Orleans Saints are proud to acknowledge Coach Ken Sears' work in leading his team to a 3-0 start this season.
