<span>USA Football, the national governing body of America's favorite sport on youth and amateur levels, and the New Orleans Saints will conduct a USA Football Coaching School Saturday, June 7, at the New Orleans Saints Training Facility in Metairie.
The gathering of area coaches representing thousands of youth football players is one of 40 USA Football coaching schools held across the country in 2008. Youth football coaches will gain insight from New Orleans Saints Offensive Coordinator, DOUG MARRONE and top high school coaches from throughout greater New Orleans area.
"We are more than proud to team up with the Saints for the sport's betterment throughout the Gulf Coast region," says USA Football Executive Director Scott Hallenbeck. "The most effective way to shape the game at the youth level is to provide coaches with resources necessary to become quality instructors and mentors.
"Thanks to the Saints and the involvement of Coach Marrone, we can help provide those resources in exciting ways. The June 7 coaching school at the Saints' training facility is a clear example of this."
USA Football's Coaching School curriculum incorporates in-classroom coaching theory as well as on-field coaching demonstrations. Nearly 450,000 youth coaches serve the 3.2 million American youngsters playing tackle football.

REGISTER: Coaches may register at usafootball.com. The day-long clinic, in partnership with Liberty Mutual's "Responsible Sports" program, is designed exclusively for youth coaches. Morning classroom work covers scheme and motivation techniques. The day's second half is spent on the field, teaching position fundamentals and drills. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
