The New Orleans Saints announced today that they have agreed to terms on a contract with unrestricted free agent wide receiver/kick returner Courtney Robyand CB Fabian Washington.  The announcement was made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Roby first signed with the Saints as a free agent during the 2008 season and has served as the club's primary kickoff returner and emerged as a solid cover-man on special teams. A former third-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2005, the five-year veteran has played in 33 games with the Saints, averaging 25.6 yards on 94 kickoff returns with a touchdown, ranked fourth in franchise history in kickoff return average. The 6-0, 189-pounder had a 23.8 average on 33 kickoff returns in 2010 and also had 13 special teams tackles to tie for second on the team and two fumble recoveries before his season was cut short due to a concussion in December that landed him on injured reserve. Roby was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September, when he posted five tackles and recovered a fumble to go with a 25.8 average on nine kick returns.

Washington, 5-11, 175, comes to the Saints after spending the past three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Originally a first round draft choice by the Oakland Raiders in 2005 out of the University of Nebraska, Washington has appeared in 81 games with 58 starts and recorded 225 tackles (199 solo) with six interceptions, 60 pass defenses and one forced fumble in his six-year NFL career. In 2010, Washington appeared in 14 games with eight starts for the Ravens and finished with 31 tackles (27 solo) and eight pass defenses.
