The New Orleans Saints announced their 2024 schedule presented by SeatGeek, which will feature three prime-time games, including two on Monday night, and will open their season by hosting NFC South rival Carolina.
The Saints will open their season at the Caesars Superdome for the second consecutive year when they host the Panthers on Sunday, Sept. 8 (noon CT). New Orleans has won its last five season openers.
After starting the season at home, the Saints go on the road to play the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 15 (noon) and then return home to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 22 (noon). New Orleans will then go on the road for two consecutive weeks, starting by playing at the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 29 (noon) followed by facing the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on "Monday Night Football" on Oct. 7 (7:15 p.m.).
New Orleans will then host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following Sunday on Oct. 13 (noon) and then will have a quick turnaround to host the Denver Broncos on "Thursday Night Football" on Oct. 17, which will kick off at 7:15 p.m. New Orleans will then face an AFC West opponent for the second consecutive week when the team heads West to play at the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 27 (3:05). The Saints will then play at the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 3 (noon), closing out the season series at Bank of America Stadium.
New Orleans will then have three consecutive home games, starting against the Falcons on Nov. 10 (noon). New Orleans will then host the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 17 (noon). Following a Week 12 bye, New Orleans will face off against the Los Angeles Rams at the Caesars Superdome on Dec. 1 (3:05)
Following the Rams matchup, New Orleans will head to the Northeast to face the New York Giants on Dec. 8 (noon), returning home the next week to host the Washington Commanders on Dec. 15, which will close out the team's NFC East slate. In Week 16, the Saints will play in their third scheduled prime-time contest of the season against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Monday, Dec. 23 (7:15). The Black and Gold will then host the Las Vegas Raiders on Dec. 29 (noon) in Week 17. New Orleans will close out the 2024 regular season against the Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium (Date and time to be announced following conclusion of Week 17 contests).
Eight of the Saints' 17 games will be against teams that finished with a winning percentage of .500 or better in 2023, and feature seven teams that went to the playoffs – Cleveland, Dallas, Green Bay, Kansas City, Philadelphia, the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (twice). New Orleans will play each of its NFC South rivals twice, one game against each of the NFC East and NFC West teams and will play the 2023 second place teams in the NFC North (at Green Bay), NFC West (vs. L.A. Rams) and AFC North (vs. Cleveland).
New Orleans' eight road games in 2024 will have the team travel 12,060 miles (round trip) after the team traveled 15,318 miles (round trip) in nine road games in 2023. The longest trip will be the Week Eight trip to play the L.A. Chargers (3,340 air miles round trip).
With the away schedule including road contests at NFC South foes Carolina, Tampa Bay and Atlanta and at the Chargers, the Saints will leave the Central Time Zone only four times to play three contests in the Eastern Time Zone and one in the Pacific Time Zone.
