New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons Battle in Local School Online Challenge

Saints fans can vote for KIPP McDonogh 15 Elementary School to receive NFL PLAY 60 funding for a youth project

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons battle this Thursday on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football at 7:20 p.m. C.T.

In addition to Thursday's night's primetime game, the NFC South rivals will also battle in an online challenge to benefit local schools through the NFL PLAY 60 DonorsChoose.org Showdown.

The program, which was launched this year by the NFL in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, features two deserving youth health and fitness projects from the cities of the two teams competing in the Thursday Night Football contest. The winning project will be funded 100 percent by NFL PLAY 60, and the other will receive funding of 50 percent.

This week, KIPP McDonogh 15 Elem School of New Orleans is competing against Madras Middle School of Newnan, Ga. Each school is trying to earn the most fan votes in order to receive funding for their respective youth health and fitness project.

The students of, KIPP McDonogh 15 Elementary School are in need of assorted exercise equipment to help ensure that they are getting at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily.

Saints fans can vote for KIPP McDonogh 15 Elementary School, by visiting http://www.nflrush.com/choose. Fans may vote one time each hour until Thursday at 10:59 p.m. CT.
