The Saints supported and honored our local NFL Flag Regional Champions by extending an invitation to Saints 2016 Minicamp presented by Verizon on Tuesday, June 14.

Both NFL Flag Kenner League 13 and 14 year old boys and girls flag football teams advanced to the finals at the Super Bowl for the second year in a row and were featured on Nickelodeon.

"The kids played their hearts out and gave everything they could, I couldn't ask for anything more," Coach Tony said. "It's great to see that the Saints included the kids in the practice. They couldn't wait for the day to come out here and watch this."

"It was really exciting to get out there and win all those games with my friends," quarterback Justin Ibieta said. "It's cool to see all the people like Drew Brees that I look up to and getting to see what they do."

The next flag football regionals will be held on October 8, 2016.
