The New Orleans Advocate, the official newspaper of the New Orleans Saints, will give all fans a commemorative special Saints section at Sunday's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

Every seat in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will include a 24-page special issue featuring stories about former Saint Steve Gleason and his battle with ALS, special moments in Saints history and the team's impact post-Hurricane Katrina.

In addition to telling Gleason's story, the special section will include an in-depth piece about his foundation, Team Gleason, its mission and how it is creating awareness about ALS and fighting to find a cure.

The New Orleans Advocate's commemorative section will also include a tribute to long-time PA announcer Jerry Romig who recently retired after serving as the voice of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for 44 years. Romig called 446 games, including pre and post-season games, as well as regular season contests.

The Saints, as well as the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, recently announced a partnership with the New Orleans Advocate, the only daily newspaper in the New Orleans market.
