An inspiring story of friendship and meeting some heroes along the way.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees surprised longtime friends and Saints fans Brian McKenna and Jackson Smith on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Monday. Brees first visited with McKenna and Smith via Skype last October.
McKenna, who was paralyzed in a mountain biking accident, shared his story and gave an update on his condition in his first trip away from home since the incident.
Ellen also gifted McKenna with $20,000 to help with his ongoing medical expenses and Brees matched the donation.
