As the holiday season approaches, Winn-Dixie welcomes members of the greater New Orleans community to mix and mingle with New Orleans Saints players, the Saintsations, Gumbo and other fan favorites in support of Second Harvest Food Bank. The benefit will be Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Winn-Dixie Store No. 1411 (5901 Airline Highway, Metairie, LA 70003). Saints Holiday Harvest attendees are invited to enjoy delicious food samples, festive music, spirited school performances, family-friendly festivities and much more while helping feed local families. The date of the event also marks the fourth annual #GivingTuesday, a global event which kicks off the charitable season and celebrates giving back.

Attendees are asked to bring five nonperishable canned good items or a $5 cash donation to enter the Saints Holiday Harvest. Each $5 donation gets attendees access to food, activities, meet-and-greet with players and other festivities.

One-in-six households in Louisiana are at risk for hunger. This holiday season, Winn-Dixie is dedicated to supporting Second Harvest Food Bank to help serve those local families in need. It is important to Winn-Dixie to advocate for causes that benefit many of our customers, families and neighbors, and make our communities stronger.
