*He set career highs in receptions (35) and receiving yards (356) in his first year with the Saints in 2009.
*ProFootballFocus.com gave him a 2.86% drop percentage, which ranked second in the Web site's rankings. The site said Thomas only dropped one of his 35 catachable balls last season.
*he had four catches for 39 yards on New Orleans' fourth quarter game-winning field goal drive in San Francisco on Sept. 20, each going for first downs.
*He started at fullback and had his first career carry in the 2009 NFC Divisional Playoff game angst the Cardinals on Jan. 16, 2010.
*He played as a reserve tight end and also saw some time at fullback, catching one pass for nine yards in the Super Bowl XLIV victory.
*At the University of Texas, set the school's all-time career records for receptions (98), receiving yards (1,367) and touchdown receptions by a tight end (15).

*He was originally slated as a defensive end coming out of high school but was moved to TE right before his freshman seasons started.
*He played in 11 contests as a freshman at Central Michigan, averaging 21.5 yards on 11 catches with three TDs and named to the Freshman All-America team by The Sporting News.
*He married his high school sweetheart Ebony and the couple has two daughters, Kahnya, 9 and Naliya, 6, and a son, Tory Jr.
