He was a sensation at LSU, where he earned "Honey Badger" as a nickname. And he thrived in the NFL, winning accolade after accolade on his way to eventually playing for his hometown team. Tyrann Mathieu, the legendary former LSU safety and current New Orleans Saints secondary star, announced his retirement on Tuesday afternoon moments before general manager Mickey Loomis and coach Kellen Moore addressed the local media on the eve of 2025 training camp. SEE MORE >>

A year and a half after playing his last down with the New Orleans Saints, Jimmy Graham has officially called it a career. Graham announced his retirement Tuesday, about 18 months after playing with the Saints for the 2023 season. He finished his career as one of the most prolific pass-catching tight ends in NFL history, ranking in the top-10 at the position in receptions (719, 7th), receiving yards (8,545, 8th) and touchdowns (89, 4th). When the New Orleans Saints take the practice field for the start of training camp Wednesday, two veteran tight ends will watch from the sidelines. The Saints announced Tuesday that both Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
