On August 19, 1960 former New Orleans Saints kicker Morten Andersen was born.

The Saints drafted Andersen 86th overall in the fourth round of the 1982 draft.

Andersen went on to play for the Saints from 1982-1994.

He is the team record holder for overall points scored.

Andersen was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Saints Ring of Honor in 2015.
