New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday the club has signed rookie offensive lineman Brian Stamper and waived lineman Kevin Tuminello.

Stamper (6-5, 300) was a rare five-year starter at Vanderbilt, setting school records for games played (51) and started (48) after being granted a medical redshirt despite seeing action in five games as a junior in 2006. The Windermere, Fla. native overcame a career-threatening back injury to return to his role as starting right tackle and team captain in 2007, opening all 12 games for the Commodores.

Tuminello was signed earlier this month as an undrafted free agent and took part in the team's rookie minicamp.
