<span style="">The New Orleans Saints announced today that they have agreed to terms with veteran guard Jamar Nesbit, the Saints' starter at left guard the past two seasons. The announcement was made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Nesbit, a 6-4, 328-pound product of the University of South Carolina, has been with the Saints the past four seasons and has been the starter the past two seasons. A veteran of 9 NFL seasons, Nesbit broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1999 with the Carolina Panthers before moving to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2003 via free agency. He has played in 133 career regular season games and started 87 throughout his career and has been a mainstay on the Saints' offensive line the past two seasons.

Nesbit joins center Jonathan Goodwin, WR Terrance Copper and K Martin Gramatica as players that have re-signed, or agreed to terms, with the team prior to the start of the unrestricted free agency period, which is to commence on February 29, 2008.
