The New Orleans Saints offered a season ticket holder fantasy football league for the 2014 season. The season ticket holder league was an NFL initiative and the Saints had more than 600 season ticket holders sign up, resulting in more than 60 leagues. Prizes for each league winner included: a personalized trophy, 2014 team autographed lithograph football and two pre-game field passes to a 2015 preseason game. The participation in the Saints Season Ticket Holder Fantasy Football League was successful, with one season ticket holder winning two separate leagues.
In addition to the individual league winners, Andrew Bankston of Slidell was the overall winner. He won a personalized trophy, 2014 team autographed lithograph football, two pre-game field passes to a 2015 preseason game, a fully catered luxury suite to a 2015 preseason game (with pregame field passes for the entire suite) and a personalized Saints jersey signed by his favorite player.
"I signed up to try to win. I think you'd get sideline passes if you just win your individual league. I have 9-year-old twins and I thought that might be cool to take them down there," Bankston said. "I didn't expect to win. It seems like when I first signed up you could get into something bigger, but I have really bad luck, so I didn't really pay attention. I just thought maybe if I could win one for the sideline passes."
