The New Orleans Saints have re-signed TE Buck Ortega and signed WR Curtis Hamilton, it was announced by the club today. Hamilton, 5-11, 195 pounds, attended Western Kentucky and had 1,408 all-purpose yards in 2007. Ortega opened training camp on the Saints' roster. The team has also waived/injured WR Carlos Robinson and LS Ryan Senser.

In other news, the Saints completed their fifth training camp practice session this morning and the big news to come out of the morning session is that RB Deuce McAllister sat out the morning works after having his knee drained of fluid yesterday afternoon. Head Coach Sean Payton said after practice this morning that McAllister will have an MRI this afternoon on his knee as a precautionary measure. McAllister had surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in that knee last season.

In other news S Josh Bullocks returned to the practice field today after sitting out the first two days and looked spry going through the drills and team practice periods.

Play Of The Day: WR Marques Colston got behind the defense in reeled in a long bomb from Drew Brees in a highlight reel looking play. Colston, who missed the first practice of training camp after having a minor procedure on his knee, has looked sensational during training camp.
