2017 season recap:

The New York Giants season took a turn for the worse when their star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a broken ankle early in the season. After starting off 2-10 the Giants fired Coach Ben McAdoo and limped to a 3-13 finish. Pat Shurmur, former offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, was hired as the coach for the Giants shortly after the 2017 season ended. The return of Beckham and the addition of running back Saquon Barkley gives quarterback Eli Manning more offensive firepower than he had in 2017.

Notable additions:

  • Running back – Saquon Barkley – selected with the second pick in the 2018 NFL Draft
  • Guard – Will Hernandez – selected with the 34th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft
  • Linebacker – Lorenzo Carer – selected with the 66th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft
  • Wide receiver – Cody Latimer
  • Left tackle – Nate Solder
  • Running back – Jonathan Stewart
  • Punter – Riley Dixon
  • Linebacker – Alec Ogletree

Notable losses:

  • Right guard – Bobby Hart
  • Defensive end – Jason Pierre-Paul
