Josh Hill is entering his 11th season with the New Orleans Saints and his first as a member of the coaching staff after serving as a pro scout for the past three campaigns.
Hill, who played tight end for New Orleans from 2013-20, joins the Saints coaching staff full-time, where he will assist Tight Ends Coach Chase Haslett, after working with the position group in practice in 2025. Hill joined the Saints player personnel staff in 2023, as a pro scout.
During his playing career, the versatile Hill filled various roles as a receiver, blocker, fullback and special teams contributor for the Saints. Signed by the team as a free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft out of Idaho State, the Blackfoot, Idaho native appeared in 117 regular season games with 62 starts for the Black and Gold, posting career totals of 116 receptions for 1,071 yards with 15 touchdowns and recorded 27 special teams tackles. In nine postseason contests with four starts, he finished with 15 receptions for 166 yards.
Hill, who first worked in the strength and conditioning field following his retirement from his NFL playing career, had career college totals of 152 receptions for 1,338 yards with nine touchdown grabs at Idaho State and graduated with a sports management degree.
Hill and his wife, Courtney, have four children.
