NFL CAREER – Signed by New Orleans prior to the 2017 season opener after competing for snapping duties with the Dallas Cowboys during the 2016 and 2017 preseasons, Zach Wood has handled all long snapping duties in 149 consecutive regular-season games and seven postseason contests, adding 12 career coverage tackles. Entering his tenth season with the Black and Gold, Wood is the second longest tenured Saint. His 149 appearances are tied for 15th all-time in Saints history with Dave Waymer and he is also tied for the sixth-longest tenured player among active NFL long snappers with their current club. A team captain each of the past three seasons, Wood's reliability and leadership have been central to the team's success in the kicking game over the last nine campaigns.
