Rickey Jackson to appear at Saints Hall of Fame on Sunday

Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee Rickey Jackson will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday from 1:25 p.m.-2:40 p.m., prior to the game featuring the New Orleans Saints vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jackson will be available for autographs and pictures.

Jackson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. He was an inaugural honoree, along with Archie Manning and William Roaf, onto the SaintsRing of Honor in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Nov. 10. Jackson was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 1997.

Jackson spent 13 years with the Saints (1981-1994) and his 195 appearances as a force in the Black and Gold are the second-highest total in franchise history. Jackson finished his career with 128 sacks (his eight sacks in his rookie season of 1981 are not included since sacks did not become an official statistic until 1982) ranked 10th all-time in NFL history. With 115 as a Saint, he is the club's all-time leader and he led the club in takedowns six times. He is also the franchise's all-time leader in fumble recoveries with 26.

Jackson was named to the Pro Bowl six times (1983-86, 1992-93) in his career, tied for the second-most by a Saint. He was an All-Pro selection six times (1984-87, 1992-93). Jackson was a member of the famed "Dome Patrol," voted the best linebacker corps in NFL history by NFL Network.

The Saints Hall of Fame is located at Gate B on the Plaza Level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The museum is open free of charge to all game ticket holders on game days three hours prior to game time and for 45 minutes following each game.

The museum is open by appointment Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at a cost of $7 per person and $5 per person for any group of 10 or more.
