The New Orleans Saints rank first in the NFC and second in the NFL with 2,856 first downs since 2006. In 2013, the Saints finished ranked first in the NFC and fourth in the NFL with 359 first downs, having set an NFL single-game record with 40 first downs in the November 10 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
