Drew Brees nominated for Week 11 award

Brees helped the Saints offense produce 15 points in the fourth

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been nominated for the The Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week. The Castrol Edge award is awarded to the best performer or performance of the week that represents strength in key moments. 

During the Week 11 game against the Washington Redskins Brees recorded his 37th career fourth quarter/overtime game-winning drive. In the Saints final two series' of regulation, Brees helped the Saints offense produce 15 points by completing 11-of-11 passes for 164 yards with both of his touchdown throws.

Other nominees are: Wide receivers Antonio Brown(Steelers), Adam Thielen(Vikings) and Keenan Allen (Chargers), and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (Jaguars) 

Fans may vote for one of these five performers on www.nfl.com/castrol-edge through Friday at 3 p.m. ET to determine the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week. The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and then posted on NFL.com.
