NFL CAREER – In 2025, Burgess brought extensive experience on both defense and special teams to the Saints secondary and coverage units. A third round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 2020, out of Utah, Burgess has spent five seasons with the Rams (2020-22), New York Giants (2022), Washington Commanders (2023) and Saints (2025), with the Southern California native playing in 59 career regular season games with five starts, posting totals of 57 tackles, four pass breakups and 19 special teams stops. In four postseason games for Los Angeles with two starts in their run to the Super Bowl championship in the 2021 season, he posted seven tackles.

PERSONAL - Burgess was an All-CIF San Diego Section first-team wide receiver as a senior and second-team defensive back as a junior at San Marcos (Calif.) HS…He was the No. 6 ranked cornerback in California by Scout.com and recorded eight career interceptions and 90 career tackles at defensive back. He also recorded 73 career receptions for 1,288 yards and 17 touchdowns as a wide receiver and ran track with a personal-best time of 11.14 in the 100 and 22.31 in the 200 meters…his older brother Isiah Hennie was a two-time honorable mention All-Big Sky wide receiver at Sacramento State (2014-17)…Burgess was involved in a variety of charitable efforts during his time with the Rams…He purchased holiday harvest bags for more than 100 families with Children's Institute, participated in the team's annual Taste of the Rams event to combat hunger in Los Angeles, led a discussion with young adults housed by the L.A.
