Biography

NFL CAREER – Jordan enters his 16th season with the Black and Gold, coming off a standout campaign for a resurgent New Orleans defense in which he started all 17 contests and produced 47 tackles (32 solo), a team-high 10.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. In his 15-year career, Jordan has been selected to eight Pro Bowls, the most for a defensive player in club history and second overall. His six consecutive selections (2017-2022) trail only QB Drew Brees (seven from 2008-2014) and T William Roaf (seven from 1994-2000) for first in team record books. He has a franchise-record 121.5 career sacks. The 11-time defensive captain is the first Saint to record at least 7.5 sacks in 12 different seasons, the only to do so in 11 straight campaigns and the first player in franchise history to record seven seasons with double-digit sack totals (12.5-2013, 10.0-2015, 13.0-2017, 12.0-2018, 15.5-2019, 12.5-2021 and 10.5-2025). Jordan has registered multiple sacks in a game (1.5 or more) 31 times in his career, with 14 of those coming against teams from the NFC South (seven vs. Atlanta; five vs. Tampa Bay; two vs. Carolina). Jordan is one of only three defensive end/edge players to register at least 65 passes defensed since coming into the league after being drafted in the first round in 2011. An explosive and physical defensive end, the former University of California standout possesses the combination of size, speed and strength to play in either a 3-4 or 4-3, successfully adapting to Defensive Coordinator Brandon Staley's 3-4 alignment in 2025. Jordan has appeared in 243 regular season games with 242 starts (both Saints bests), posting career totals of 857 stops (529 solo), 132 quarterback takedowns (ranked 17th all-time in the NFL and first among active players), three interceptions, 69 passes defensed, 17 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries and one blocked kick. With 6.5 sacks in 2026, he would move into the top 10. Jordan's 243 regular season games played is sixth all-time among NFL defensive end/edge players. He will set a Saints team record by playing in his 16th season with the club in 2026. Jordan's also played in 11 career postseason games (10 starts), tallying 42 tackles (32 solo), 5.5 sacks and five passes defensed, the club's all-time leader in quarterback takedowns in the playoffs. Off-the-field, Jordan is a three-time nominee for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year and was the 2025 Bart Starr Award winner.
