During his third season on staff, Gristick and Linebackers Coach Peter Sirmon helped the team's linebackers adjust to an alignment change from a 4-3 to 3-4, with the team ranking ninth in the NFL in opponent net yards per game. Demario Davis finished with 143 tackles, his highest total as a Saint. Pete Werner finished with 81 stops (50 solo), two sacks, and career-highs in pass breakups (five) and fumble recoveries (three), tying for the league lead in the latter. With player development at a premium, fourth round draft pick Danny Stutsman had 40 tackles in spot duty and Isaiah Stalbird led the linebackers with two sacks in his second season.
