NFL CAREER – Fourth-year pro has played in 42 career regular season contests with 37 starts at four (left guard, left tackle, right guard, right tackle) of five positions on the offensive line in his first three seasons. During the 2017 season, Peat continued to display his versatility by filling in where needed on the offensive line, when he appeared in 15 games with 14 starts, with four at left tackle and ten at left guard. In 2018, Peat looks to continue to be a reliable resource for the Saints offensive line.

2017 –Appeared in 15 games with 14 starts, with four at left tackle in place of an injured Terron Armstead and ten at left guard…In opener at Minnesota, Sept. 11, started at left guard…Vs. Chicago, Oct. 29, started at left guard…Vs. Tampa Bay, Nov. 5, started at left guard and saw action at left tackle….At Buffalo, Nov. 12, started at left guard, helping block for the Saints to rush for 298 yards, the third-highest total in club history led by both Mark Ingram II and Alvin Kamara surpassing 100 yards apiece and a club-record six touchdowns and 20 first downs on the ground…At L.A. Rams, Nov. 26, started at left guard and also played at left tackle…Vs. New York Jets, Dec. 17, Peat played on offense and special teams in a limited role while still recovering from a groin injury that sidelined him in previous contest at Atlanta, Dec. 7…Vs. Atlanta, Dec. 24, started at left guard and moved to left tackle for Armstead who left the game in the second quarter (thigh)...Started NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Carolina, 1/7/18 at left guard, before departing in the second quarter with season-ending shin injury. 2016 – Played in 15 games, starting eight at left guard and seven at left tackle due to injuries to Armstead…Opened the first two games at left guard, before moving to left tackle for next the four contests…Returned to left guard for contests vs. Seattle, Oct. 30 and at San Francisco, Nov. 6, both of which featured 100-yard rushers…Started at left tackle vs. Denver, Nov. 13 and moved back inside to left guard at Carolina, Nov. 17, where he’d settle in for four more contests before moving back to left tackle for final three contests after Armstead was placed on Injured Reserve. 2015 – Appeared in 12 games as a rookie, including eight starts at several different positions along the line, showing a versatility that proved useful…Appeared in first NFL game in the 2016 opener at Arizona, Sept. 13 as an extra blocker and on special teams…Made first career start as an extra tackle in heavy package vs. Tampa Bay, Sept. 20…Played at left tackle and on special teams vs. Dallas, Oct. 4…Made first career start at left tackle at Philadelphia, Oct. 11…Started at left tackle but left game in first series after suffering knee injury vs. Atlanta, Oct. 15…Inactive at Indianapolis, Oct. 25, and vs. N.Y. Giants, Nov. 1, (knee)…Saw action primarily on special teams and at left tackle in fourth quarter at Washington, Nov. 15…Made first career start at left guard at Houston, Nov. 29…Started at left guard vs. Carolina, Dec. 6, and blocked for an offense that gained 334 total net yards…Started at left guard and saw first action of season at right tackle vs. Detroit, Dec. 21…Made first career start at right tackle in place of an injured Zach Strief vs. Jacksonville, Dec. 27, and blocked for an offense that gained 537 total net yards and surrendered only one sack…Declared inactive for the team’s season finale at Atlanta, 1/3/16, with a concussion.

 

COLLEGE – Played at Stanford from 2012-14, playing in 40 career contests with 27 starts at left tackle…As a junior, started all 13 games, anchoring the left side of an offensive line ranked 18th nationally in fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.62/game) and 42nd in fewest sacks allowed (1.77/game). Named a first-team All-American by ESPN.com, The Sporting News and SI.com, second-team All-American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp and CBS Sports, an All-Pac-12 first-team selection and an Outland Trophy semifinalist. Was one of two Morris Trophy winners, given annually to the most outstanding offensive and defensive linemen in the Pac-12 Conference…As a sophomore, started all 14 games, anchoring the left side of one of the nation’s top offensive lines, as the Cardinal ranked 22nd in the nation in rushing (207.4 yards/game), 11th in fewest sacks allowed (1.14/game) and fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.14/game). Was a SI.com All-American honorable mention selection and Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 first–team selection…As a freshman, played in all 13 games and rotated throughout the season at left tackle…Psychology major.

HS, where he was a USA Today, Parade, SuperPrep and PrepStar All-American…Named nation’s top recruit by The Sporting News…Selected to play in Under Armour All-American and U.S. Army All-American All-Star games…Also lettered in basketball and led school to Division 1 State Championship as a senior…Father Todd, played six seasons for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1987-89) and L.A.
