NFL CAREER – Originally signed by New Orleans out of Rutgers following the 2014 NFL Draft, Coleman spent the majority of his rookie season on the practice squad before being elevated for the season finale. He has taken advantage of his large frame and participation in his offseason strength and conditioning program to emerge as a reliable option in the explosive New Orleans offense. In 2017, he posted 23 receptions for 364 yards with three touchdowns and a career long 54-yard reception.

2017 – Played in all 16 regular season games with six starts and ended the season with 23 receptions for 364 yards and a career-high three touchdowns and one tackle off an interception return…Vs. New England, Sept. 17, started and recorded four receptions for career-high 82 yards and a five-yard TD…Recorded an 11-yard TD reception at Carolina, Sept. 24…At Green Bay, Oct. 22, had two receptions for 31 yards, including a 22-yard TD…Started and had career-long 54-yard grab vs. Chicago, Oct. 29…In playoff debut, started NFC Wild Card game win vs. Carolina, 1/7/18, posting four receptions for 44 yards…Inactive (neck) for divisional round at Minnesota, 1/14/18. 2016 – Played in all 16 games with four starts and ended the season with 26 receptions for 281 yards and a career-high three touchdowns with two special teams tackles…Started and hauled in a career-high seven receptions for 78 yards vs. Atlanta, Sept. 26…Caught a ten-yard touchdown pass at Kansas City, Oct. 23…Caught two passes for 44 yards, including a career-long 38-yard grab vs. Seattle, Oct. 30…Made a nine-yard touchdown catch at Carolina, Nov. 17…Had a three-yard touchdown catch vs. Los Angeles Rams, Nov. 27.  2015 – Appeared in all 16 games with four starts, posting totals of 454 yards and two touchdowns on 30 receptions…Started his first career game in opener at Arizona, Sept. 13, catching four passes for 41 yards and first career touchdown. Became 50th player to catch a TD from Drew Brees in regular season…Caught three passes for 33 yards vs. Tampa Bay, Sept. 20…Started vs. Dallas, Oct. 4, and had a 30-yard reception…Made a 24-yard grab at Indianapolis, Oct. 25 and recorded his first career special teams tackle…Made two receptions for 58 yards and had a 30-yard grab vs. Tennessee, Nov. 8…Played on offense and on special teams vs. Carolina, Dec. 6, making four receptions for 73 yards with one touchdown. Tied career-high in receptions, set a career-best in receiving yardage and had a 31-yard grab…Posted three catches for 32 yards at Tampa Bay, Dec. 13… Saw action on offense and on special teams vs. Jacksonville, Dec. 27, making four receptions for 45 yards...Played in finale at Atlanta, 1/3/16, recording five receptions for a career-best 81 yards. 2014 – In the 2014 preseason, made five receptions for 50 yards. Spent the majority of the season on the practice squad but was elevated to the active roster prior to season finale at Tampa Bay, Dec. 28.

 

COLLEGE – Played in 39 career games in three seasons at Rutgers, recording 94 receptions for 1,808 yards (19.2 avg.). Matched the Scarlet Knights school record for receiving touchdowns (20)…As a redshirt junior in 2013, recorded 34 receptions for 538 yards (15.8 avg.) with four touchdowns and 12 grabs for 20 or more yards, while being named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team…As a sophomore in 2012, recorded 43 receptions for 718 yards (16.7 avg.) and 10 touchdowns, tying the school season record for touchdown receptions on his way to being selected All-Big East second-team. Graduated in May, 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in labor and employment relations.

 

PERSONAL – Prepped at Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) HS, and recorded 41 receptions for 838 yards (20.4 avg.) and ten touchdowns as three-year starter and also was a member of basketball team…Owned a 3.3 GPA…Community Service: In 2015, visited Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a Playworks activity…Has been a spokesman for a program that discourages teenagers from texting while driving, appearing at schools to emphasize the dangers…Visited families at the Ronald McDonald House in December, 2016…Has visited patients at Ochsner Medical Center on several occasions…Has participated in the club’s annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway event at Dryades YMCA…With several teammates participated in several physical fitness events at Edgar Harney Middle School in 2016…For the club’s Dec. 4, 2016 game vs. Detroit and Dec. 7, 2017 contest vs. Carolina, as part of the NFL’s “Cleats for a Cause” promotion, wore cleats to support Alzheimer’s awareness after losing his grandmother to the disease…Is team spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association, representing the group in events in the Gulf South…Born June 22, 1992 in Washington, D.C.
