Considered one of the elite offensive line prospects in the draft, Peat started 27 games over the last two seasons at left tackle for the Cardinal. As a junior in 2014, he opened all 13 games and captured first-team All-American honors in anchoring one of the top offensive lines in the nation. The first offensive lineman drafted in the first round by New Orleans since tackle Jammal Brown in 2005, who was also the 13th overall selection, Peat is one of only six collegiate offensive tackles selected in the Saints in the first round, joining Brown, Kyle Turley (1998), William Roaf (1993), Jim Dombrowski (1986) and Stan Brock (1980).

2014– Started all 13 games at left tackle for the Cardinal, anchoring an offensive line ranked 18th nationally in fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.62 game) and 42nd in fewest sacks allowed (1.77/game), finishing 8-5…Blocked for a rushing offense that averaged 158.8 rushing yards per game…Named a first-team All-American by ESPN.com, The Sporting News and SI.com and second-team All-American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp and CBS Sports…Also was All-Pac-12 first-team selection and an Outland Trophy semifinalist…Was one of two Morris Trophy winners, given annually to the most outstanding offensive and defensive linemen in the Pac-12 Conference. 2013 – Started all 14 games at left tackle…Part of one of the nation’s top offensive lines, as the Cardinal ranked 22nd in the nation in rushing offense (207.4 yards/game, 11th in fewest sacks allowed (1/14/game) and fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.14/game)…Was an SI.com All-American honorable mention selection and Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 first –team. 2012– Played in all 13 games for Stanford and rotated throughout season at left tackle.

HS, where he was a USA Today, Parade, SuperPrep and PrepStar All-American…Named the nation’s top recruit by The Sporting News…Selected to play in the Under Armour All-American and U.S. Army All-American all-star games…Also lettered in basketball and led school to Division 1 state championship as a senior…Father Todd, played six seasons in the NFL for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1987-89) and Los Angeles Raiders (1990, 1992-1993)…Brother, Todd, played football at Nebraska…Born Andrus Jamerson Peat on Nov. 4, 1993 in Mesa, Ariz.
