Biography

NFL CAREER – Claimed off of waivers from Green Bay at the conclusion of the 2017 preseason by the Saints, Hill has provided value to New Orleans in multiple spots on both offense and special teams. His role continued to expand, as he started four games in place of an injured Drew Brees in 2020 and became the first quarterback in club history to win his first three NFL starts as a signal-caller. In 2022, he excelled in a hybrid role, taking snaps at both the tight end and quarterback positions. Starting eight of 16 contests he appeared in, Hill rushed 96 times for 575 yards and seven touchdowns, had nine receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns, and completed 13-of-19 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns.  Including the postseason, Hill has ten career touchdown passes, 23 rushing touchdowns and 11 career receiving scores, making him the first NFL player since Frank Gifford 1952-64) to reach double-digit totals in passing, rushing and receiving touchdowns. In addition to his statistics in reaching the end zone, Hill has carried 317 times for 1,758 yards, caught 43 passes for 465 yards, completed 185-of-267 passes (64.5 pct.) for 2,265 yards, returned 18 kickoffs for 429 yards and added 13 special teams tackles and one blocked punt. Hill's 6.0 yards per carry average ranks second in franchise history.
